I am a post doctoral fellow at the National Center for Smart Growth Education and Research at the University of Maryland, Collge Park. My graduate degrees are from University of Illinois. I have a Ph.D. in Regional Planning . I am trained as a Mathematician, an Urban planner and as an Architect.

I work on vexing questions of what plans ought to be and how they should be formulated and how such formulations affect the urban processes. These have led me simultaneously, on intersecting and fruitful paths of inquiry into complex systems, optimisation, qualitative analysis, analytical reasoning, decision making under uncertainty and institutional structure.
